Dr. Brumley is a Lecturer with the Department of Nursing. Her areas of interest include perinatal nursing, perinatal substance use, and nursing education. Her clinical background includes pediatric and neonatal nursing. Dr. Brumley began her nursing career as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps, where she cared for service members and their families at the Naval Medical Center San Diego and provided humanitarian relief on the hospital ship USNS Mercy. After being released from active duty, she completed her Master's degree in Nursing Education from Walden 海角论坛 and taught undergraduate nursing at Texas A&M 海角论坛-Corpus Christi and Washington State 海角论坛. She earned her Ph.D. in Nursing from Washington State 海角论坛 in 2024 with a research focus in perinatal substance use.
