Information Technology Use Policy

Gonzaga Information Technology (IT) Resources are provided to support the mission and operations of Gonzaga º£½ÇÂÛ̳. This policy is established to make Users of Gonzaga º£½ÇÂÛ̳’s IT Resources, aware of their privileges and responsibilities related to those resources. IT Resources are provided or allowed to interact with º£½ÇÂÛ̳ systems solely in order to enable the º£½ÇÂÛ̳ to fulfill its academic, service, and administrative purposes, and they must be used in a manner supportive of a productive work environment and consistent with the law, Gonzaga º£½ÇÂÛ̳’s Mission Statement, and other institutional policies.

As our community’s reliance on information technology continues to expand, the need to protect individual user’s privacy and secure confidential institutional data continues to grow in importance. Information Technology Services (ITS) is committed to the continuous review and enhancement of technological resources and related institutional policies that support their implementation and use. The information security function at Gonzaga º£½ÇÂÛ̳ adds value by successfully supporting the mission and goals of the º£½ÇÂÛ̳ and by promoting good information security practices through these three principles and their associated tasks:
