For students at Gonzaga 海角论坛, maintaining a healthy body is essential for peak flourishing and overall well-being. This involves developing good physical health habits, such as eating nutritious foods that fuel your body and mind, staying active through regular exercise, and ensuring you get enough sleep to recover and stay sharp. It's also important to seek appropriate health care, including regular check-ups and prompt attention to any health issues. We support these practices by providing resources and guidance, helping student-athletes stay strong, healthy, and ready to excel in all aspects of life.

Resources for Students

Health & Counseling Services seeks to support the overall well-being of Gonzaga students by providing quality holistic, comprehensive healthcare. Health & Counseling Services clinicians are board certified family physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, psychologists, psychiatric providers, and counselors who are here to provide students expert care in a confidential setting just steps from the classroom.

Office of Health Promotion utilizes public health principles to evaluate student population-level outcomes, mitigate high-risk behaviors through harm reduction, and implement evidence-based interventions. We are dedicated to advancing health equity and addressing the needs of historically underrepresented populations in health promotion. In collaboration with the Gonzaga community, we empower students to develop lifelong skills that promote well-being and flourishing, enabling them to care for themselves and contribute to the common good.

The Wellness Toolbox includes information, resources, and apps, that may be helpful as students navigate striving for flourishing and well-being at Gonzaga.

The Rudolf Fitness Center (RFC) is located in the heart of campus, offering fun and innovative opportunities to make healthy life decisions. Amenities include:

  • Cardio and weight training equipment
  • An indoor track
  • Intramural sports
  • Certified instructor-led group fitness classes
  • A six-lane, 25-yard indoor pool
  • Three full-sized basketball/volleyball courts

The Campus Pantry addresses food and basic needs insecurity among Gonzaga students. We recognize that students who are under basic needs stress often aren't able to concentrate on academics and other aspects of well-being and flourishing. By providing free access to food and hygiene products, we help alleviate that stress so students can focus on their education and personal growth.

The Office of Health Promotion offers a variety of workshops and presentations for education around Alcohol & Other Drugs throughout the academic year for various student groups and organizations, in addition to providing consultations for students and staff.
