Gonzaga鈥檚 Jesuit, Catholic, Humanistic education will challenge and inspire you.
Dates: July 15-19, 2026
GOOB Bikepacking is a fun and exciting extended orientation trip for 8 new Gonzaga students. GOOB is a fantastic opportunity to bond with other incoming first year students in the outdoors and meet our fun-loving student Trip Leaders who run GOOB. On Tuesday, July 14, 2026, we meet at Gonzaga Outdoors for a pre-trip meeting and gear check. On the morning of July 15th, we load a van to shuttle us to the trailhead where we will begin our adventure.
On this trip, we will bike 85 miles over 4 days from Lookout Pass to Heyburn State Park on several well-known bikepacking trails, including the renowned Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes. Our trip will be supported by a van to carry gear and food, and each night we will camp at a site accessible from the trail. If you like to bike, this will be an epic adventure you won't want to miss!
In camp each night, activities are focused on fun, community, and preparation for life at Gonzaga. This is a great bonding experience for incoming students and an opportunity to meet and build connections with upper division students.
